VERIFY in many cases we are able to assist in identifying; locations, unknown individuals,
time frame, subjects, etc. We can also assist with some simple methods/tricks we’ve learned
through the years to get input from family members, drawing from shared memories of friends,
family members, identifying: events, locations, faces, pets, etc

unfortunately cannot guarantee an acceptable outcome in every case. The worse the photo, the
more it is subject to interpretation cannot fix an out of focus image.

Our Unique Process
Our photo restoration process takes a comprehensive approach that provides clients with
the combined best efforts of many very talented restorers. It goes beyond the technological
limits of a piece of software. Quality photo restoration involves experience, care, judgment,
research and the desire to give our clients a beautiful photo that had always meant so much but
was thought beyond repair.
Several restorers work on each of our projects. As is often the case, different artists have
different strengths. For example, some of our restorers have a special talent with skin color or
texture, others with removing paper texture, and others with matching grain and combining
photos.
Each photo is assigned to two or three restorers depending on the type of damage. The Lead
Artist then assesses the work, take the best of each artist’s efforts, combine them, and pull it all
together into a final product.
How Much Does It Cost?
Unlike other companies, we don’t do photo restorations for a flat fee. Because every restoration
job is unique, each photo restoration cost must be individually quoted. When you send us your
photo or upload your scan, we will evaluate it and quote the cost of your restoration based on the
extent of the damage.
Prices start at $150. An average restoration is approximately $250, an extreme restoration can be
$500 or more.

you under no obligation to purchase our services. If we do not feel an acceptable restoration can
be achieved, we’ll let you know and may offer advice on a reasonable next step. Request your no

we cannot fix an out of focus image.
All final restorations are delivered via email or download, unless otherwise requested. All
restoration/editing quotes include scanning and general cleanup of your photo. The accepted e-
mailed quote shall be binding. Quotes remain in effect for 30 days from date issued.
How Long Does It Take?
The entire photo restoration process, from acceptance of the estimate to delivery of the restored
photo, generally takes 15-20 business days. If you are ordering prints it may be a few days
longer. If you want to have the restored photo for a special occasion or holiday, please allow us
enough time. If necessary, your project can be done on a rush basis, but a rush fee will be
applied.
At certain times of the year, such as December, our volume is particularly heavy and turnaround
times may be longer. Current turnaround times are posted on this website during high volume
seasons.
Scanning
A quality photo restoration starts with a high-resolution scan of at least 600DPI. If you’d like to upload your own scan for a quote
please use this form.
Alternatively, we can take care of the scanning for you. We ask that you send us a snapshot of
your photo which you can take with your phone so that we can provide a quote.
If you’re happy with the quote, you then put your photo in a box, send it in, and we'll take care of
the rest – from professional scanning to photo prints delivered to your door.

Ordering
Once you receive your quote, if you would like to proceed, we will provide you a link for
payment. We accept personal and business checks, all major credit cards and PayPal.
All prices are in U.S. dollars. Receipt of your payment confirms your approval and acceptance of
the quote, so work can begin on your restoration.
Your Satisfaction Is Guaranteed!
If you are not satisfied with your restored photo, we will work with you until you are, or we will
promptly return your money.* Thirty (30) days after final delivery, the project is considered
accepted and no longer eligible for additional changes or a refund.
* We do have one exception to our money back guarantee. Occasionally when quoting a
restoration, we advise a customer that the damage to their photo is too extensive for us to
achieve a level of restoration we would consider deliverable. If the customer requests that we
give it a try anyway, we will do our best as always, but cannot offer a money back guarantee.
SCANNING TIPS:
1. I know the cheap ones are tempting, but plan to spend more than $100 on a new scanner.
You truly do get what you pay for.
2. If you have a lot of 35mm film or slides to scan don’t expect great results from a flatbed
scanner. An actual film scanner will do a considerably better job, as this is what it is for!
3. Remember, no amount of retouching can make up for a poor scan. Most scanning
software will allow you to choose the type of image to be scanned whether it is a photo,
slide, document, etc. Correctly setting this option will ensure the best scan possible from
your scanner.
4. Scan your photo at an appropriate resolution. 300ppi (if you plan on printing your
restored photo as the same size as the original, or if you plan to resize it to 72ppi for web
use later).
1. 600ppi (if you plan to restore or enlarge your photo).
5. Turn off all automatic filters.
6. Crop your preview scan so as not to include any of the background.
7. Always scan black and white photos as 24bit RGB Color (not grayscale). This is because
24bit files have 3 times the color depth of an 8 bit grayscale file, so they capture much
more of the subtle tones (If your photo is badly faded you might want to scan at 48bit).
8. Please, keep in mind not to use photos printed on textured or embossed paper. They
aren’t usually suitable for scanning. Try photographing them with a digital camera
instead.
9. Always save your scans in a lossless format such as TIFF. Only ever use JPEG as a final
format to save your photo in. Never do anything to the original scans except for naming
them. Save them exactly the way they were scanned, without any changes.
10. View your scanned images at 100% when looking at them on your computer to make
sure your photo is scanned correctly.
